Technical safety analyzes for the Power-to-Gas system

In June EKO-KONSULT has begun collaboration with the Institute of Power Engineering (IEn), in the field of technical safety analyzes for power-to-gas system (P2G). Under the industrial contract, IEn is responsible for the development, construction, and delivery of a power-to-gas (P2G) system based on solid oxide electrochemical cells operated interchangeably between the electrolysis (SOE) and fuel cell mode (SOFC). The system is under construction in the frame of HYDROGIN project, which is co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development.

We will perform the following task:

• HAZOP analysis
• Determination of SIL requirements
• Fire safety analysis
• Explosion safety analysis (ATEX)

Institute of Power Engineering - Research Institute is one of the largest research organization in Poland and in Central Europe, conducting research in the field of energy technologies. The Institute is a modern research and development center under the supervision of the Ministry of Climate and Environment. Over the years IEn has developed and implemented solid oxide fuel cells and solid oxide electrolyzers in various industries.
